Need to locate Fuel level indicator on my 2008 Suzuki GXS R750

My name is Ron and I've been riding bikes for about 15 years. I have a 2004 Kawasaki ZZR1200 that I'm reassembling for sale.
And I recently purchased a 2008 Suzuki GXS R-750. Great lite bike to ride.

The question I have is I've looked in the Suzuki manual I received with the bike and can't find out how to bring up the fuel level indicator on one of small gauges. If anyone can provide me with an answer I would appreciate it. Kind of hard to enjoy riding when you don't really know how much gas you have in the tank.

    thanks

Well then IF you have the right manual for that bike, it probably means that it does NOT have the feature.
Does the fuel shutoff petcock have a position marked REServe ? Scant few, if any, bikes have both.

Most bikes do not have a fuel gauge. I'd think you would be aware of that after 15 years or riding.

no fuel gauge to my knowledge. you can just use the tripmeter. 4.5 gallon tank. so around 140 miles you should start looking for a gas station. unless you commonly ride at/above 11k rpm then you'll need gas sooner.

I rode for many years before I got a bike with a fuel gauge, still always had fun even with the tiny 2.2gal tank on my '70's Sportster.
I remember what a novelty it was to have a fuel guage on my '84 Superglide, now I'd hate to be without one.
That said once you know how far you can go on a tank you just watch your odometer and you'll know when you're getting near fill up time.

    Really?..........

As for "those bikes",they must be pre 2007 and non EFI models as all post '07's have EFI and so no petcock res. position because there's no carb.
They have a "low fuel" warning light instead like most modern cars have.
If I ever buy a new bike again I'll miss having that reserve option and a simple reliable carb with no electronics or fuelpump to ever fail.

Its the manual that came with the bike. It mentions a fuel indicator however doesnt indicate where it is or hwo to access. Whether its the 'right' manual...unknown.
No position marked 'reserve' in or around shutoff. My last three bikes all had analog/digital gauges that included a 'fuel' gauge on the dashboard cluster.
How many yrs I've been riding is irrelevant. So your last statement I assume is for humor huh?

    Thanks for the info.......

    Only partly.

It hasn't been THAT many years ago that almost NONE had fuel gauges......so how many years you've been riding is not totally irrelevant.

And it is much easier to follow your replies IF you include a little quote of exactly which message you are replying TO.
