    2009 Vstar 650. Engine removal

Have a problem going into 4-5 gears. I assume to the transmission. Lots of videos available TP help remove the engine...
is there a short cut to the transmission, without removing cylinders?

    Not likely.
AND.....a person who has to ask that question probably would be a LOT better off looking for a good used engine for a complete swap.

BUT....before you do anything drastic, be SURE that your shifter link is adjusted properly for you foot position and riding boots.
IF the lever doesn't go far enough BACK after a shift, it then won't go into the next gear.
Don't believe everything that you think.
