    Kawasaki full synth 10W40

I made the switch to Kawasaki full synth on my 2017 900 Classic LT, believing the engine will benefit from the lube properties, but I'm told even the full synth is only good for 3,000 miles. Is this a Kawasaki thing? The Indian Thunder Stroke 111, for example, has 5,000 mile intervals using OEM semi-synthetic.

Lubrication properties and oil life are related but really are two different things.
With a "true" synthetic (most aren't) extended intervals should be fine.

BUT....read your owner's manual again. I'm sure I remember that the recommend interval on my 900 was longer than 3K miles.

I personally would have no qualms about going 5K between changes......IF that is 12 months or less AND it is out of warranty.
While still under warranty, you need to be real careful to follow their recommendations.......just incase.
Don't believe everything that you think.
