Just got a new gixxr 6 and i want to ask wat exhaust i should put on if i want it loud. Now im not real new at this so i know that a D&D is loud but they are gay. i want something that sounds great and adds the most performance. anotherwords i want the best of the 2 worlds. my eye is on a yosh akraprovic or and arrow. anyone know how they sound? if you know of another exhaust that surpassed these please tell me im here for the info thanks all!

I would either look at the Yoshimura TRS or wait and see if Arata comes out with a system for that bike. Yoshi always works well on Suzuki's, but the Arata has been making some unreal power on the dyno. The Arata is high dollar, but no more than the Akrapovic. It sounds good (not overly loud but nice throaty sound) and is a good looking system. Personally I would look at power over loudness.

Hmm. I've never read anything mentioning the sexuality of that brand. Maybe if you informed us as to the nature of your dislike, in more intelligent terms, we could help you find a substitute.

clear this up

ok rowdy i dont know you but i love you! as for the other guys that answered thanks. im gettin a slip on bike is brand new. but i think d&d is gay because everybody gets one to be loud but there not that great. i want a top quality pipe with loudness and peak performance but at the same time i do not want it to be a "me too" exhaust. so please bring up some facts or opinions of exhausts thankz. Rowdy's rockin a D&D

If your getting a slipon then you shouldnt be concerned with performance to much. Which is the reason people consider D&D slipons and not D&D full applications. D&D has a distinct sound and they pride themselves in that sound, just as Yosh 4-2-1 full pride themselves in smoother torque curves.

If your just deciding on a slipon then this thread probaly wont last long but if you're inquiring a full system then Im sure there will be some good suggestions from others here.
