Ok..this has been bugging me and i wanted to know if any of you ,who have a '04 Katana 600 or 750, have problems with the front fairing and windshield vibrating badly between 6-7K RPM. I've tightened everything and such , but its still there. Its so loud , to me anyway, that i hear it over the engine and it makes me think other can hear , making my bike sound like crap to everyone else.

I dont know much about this, why dont you just take the bike into the dealer and have them take a look at it. Maybe something came loose or maybe thats just the way its going to sound because it is a 6,000 bike. Not saying it isnt a good bike but usually more expensive bikes they take the time to make sure minor inconviences aren't found. But originaly like i said you should take it to the dealer, this is the second post regarding your Kat seems to be giving you alot more trouble.

Some more expensive bikes come with braces that hook up to the windshield probably for that same reason. If it's not a loose bolt or something that just needs to be tightened, and it's really bugging you that much. Look around for some aftermarket stuff, I saw a '03 TL 1000 R at a dealership here and it has those braces. Maybe something to look into, even to make your ride a little different.

I've noticed some vibration on my 750. I've been enjoying riding so much that I haven't really paid attention to what rpm it occurs at or whether it is always at the same rpms

I'll pay more attention over the next couple of days and see if I can get some more info on when it occurs on my bike and what seems to be vibrating.

its not that the bike is broken or a lemon or anything like.I guess i pay more attention to small details than most people. I drives me crazy sometimes , but i deal with it.

To give an example.My 69' chevelle does 13.2 in the 1/4. Its fast enough for me.I have a decent sized stereo,2 amps ,2 subs and all that good stuff. The way i made the sub box was so that it had ALOT OF good bass , but you could not hear it outside of the car, at least not with my exaust.Everything single little thing in the car is tight.Everytime i heard a vibration or rattle i hunted it down and got rid of it. I guess im just doing the same with the bike. Sounds obcessive compulsive doesnt it

After riding to work today and paying attention to the vibration, I found that my windscreen vibrates a little right at 2000 rpm, every time. It starts when the needle hits 2000 and stops when the needle leaves it.

I haven't noticed any other vibrations, though.

i took the windshield off...and put it back on..seems to have lessen the noise so at least i dont hear as much...oh well
