On a web site I saw where the 1600 Marauder and Mean Streak have a limit of 115 from the factory. Is there a way to bypass this. I didn't know that when I bought the bike, imagine my surprise, I had a 1984 shadow 700 that would run 128 MPH, paid $1600.00 for it. Upgraded to a 2004 1600 Marauder, paid $9,900.00 can't see 115 MPH.....(mine stops at 112 mph on the speed-o in 4th or 5th gear) can you say disappointed. I don't wat 150 mph if so I would have bought a BUSA, I just think that It should run faster than 115. Bike has plenty of low and mid power I just wat a bit more top end.....

BTW - Completely Stock Bike, looking at V&H pipes or maybe muzzy 2-1 system, air intake system, and power commander, or maybe TFI instead. Leaning toward TFI from what I've been reading.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sure there is, but keep in mind that those bikes don't have the suspension to handle those speeds. It's not a good idea. My bike does close to 150, but I rarely get over 115 anyway. What's the point, besides death?

The bike is not limited to 115. Actually you are just shifting into 5th gear at that speed. The bike tops out around 131 on the speedometer which is off by a few percent. The bike runs out of power due to gear ratio at that speed.

**** Sorry , just saw the date on this post. *********
