Hey guys, new here, couple questions. My dads bike is a 2007 shadow 750 and he was needing a front tire and he asked me if if was tubed or tubeless. Now before i go any further let me just say that my bike is a 2009 harley sportster and it has a steel, spoked front wheel and runs a tubeless tire so i just assumed his did too. With that being said, does anyone know if his is a tube or tubeless tire? And also, if he ordered a tubeless tire can he run a tube in it anyways or? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Almost every tire made these days is stamped "tubeless" because the tire itself doesn't require a tube.
The wheel, however, probably DOES require a tube if it has spokes.
There were some experiments with sealing the spokes inside the wheel but I don't think any of them really worked out good.

It the wheel has spokes, figure on using a tube........and don't waste your time looking for a "tube type" tire 'cause they pretty much don't exist anymore.
