I have a 1976 suzuki rm 250 that needs a lot of love. I was wondering if the 1977 through 1981 Suzuki rm250’s OEM and parts are backwards compatible? I would like to get OEM parts as much as possible. I am looking for recommendations for places that sell OEM and compatible parts. If you have any parts in good condition I am will to buy and pay well.

You do realize that this is a 2-cycle engine, right ?
And that is VASTLY different than a 4-stroke.
Starting with needing oil mixed with the gas.

Don't know what you mean by "compatible".
Compatible with what ??
Just because the engine is different doesn't mean that other common parts are different too.
