Hello all. This is my first post, great site you have here. I just picked up this GS400 for free from a buddy of mine. I've ridden dirt bikes before, but this is my first street legal bike. The bike itself runs great and should work out as a great learner bike.

Onward to the point, I noticed the speedo doesn't work. The cable is connected to the back of the gauge, and down at the front wheel as well. I rode the bike around the block a few times, and it doesn't even twitch. Just looking for advice on what would cause this.

Cable is probably busted on the inside.

Un screw one end of the speedo cable and see if it is broken. For additional info on your bike visit:
