Hi I'm new to this site and am needing help/advice on some wiring things on my 1982 gs750e. I bought the bike as a learning experience to get into bikes and the guy I bought it from did a lot of stuff ie bypassing the clutch safety, cutting off the blinkers, and cutting the ignition switch so the license plate light wasn't on. I put a new wiring harness in and most things work (blinkers, brake lights, stand light, everything) but it doesn't start. The ignition button draws too much power and has melted the plastic when pressed. What would cause this? That's my first question of probably many. If anyone could help I'd appreciate it a lot. There isn't any noise of it trying to start and it did start before I replaced the harness.
