i just purchased a 97 Katana 3,400 miles paid $2,400 when I got it home
I looked it over and took it out for a test run no more than 50 MPH and all the oil blew out of the right side....I am a novice to Motorcycle Motors can anyone please tell me if they have experienced this....Man am I pissed

You might get better responses in the mechanic section. Also check with the folks at www.katanaplaned.com. Just remember to come back here too. I hope your problem is something minor.

there aren't really many places where the oil can come out on a motorcycle engine. is the chain on the right side on your bike? behind the front sprocket there is a seal that might be bad. or maybe the screw came out to drain the oil out of your engine. in both cases its not very good if you rode for a long time with not enough oil in your engine. no oil = engine problems
