My new (to me) ride. 1998 LC1500, 2400 original miles when I bought it last week... 3100 miles tonight. Found it at a local dealership before it went through "recon" and took a close look. Very clean and nice, starts right up and runs fantastic. Everything is tight, no rattles. (I was in the market for a 1100-up cruiser and spotted this while the salesman was showing me an 1100 V-Star). :D

All in all I am verrrrrry pleased with it. Especially the price. $5300 (well, $5900 after tax, license and a new full-face brain bucket). I am replacing the tires this week since the originals(!) have started showing some weather cracking after putting some miles on them. Pulls like an elephant and rides better than my brothers '03 Electra Glide Classic. Can't quite outrun my buddy's VTX1800 but then again, that's not why I bought a cruiser.

Gee sorry, we haven't welcomed you to the site properly.

Hope you didn't get your undies in a knot and leave.

How do you like your bike, is it your first bike ? If not what did you ride before.

We want details.

Bob,

No problem, I got some good advice from Chad already here. :) I used to have a Honda 350-4 Super Sport that was, ummm... not stock. It was a fast little bike for what it was. Also had a GL-1100 Honda and a Kawasaki LTD-550 in a prior lifetime. After the LTD I took a 16 year or so hiatus and recently went through the MSF course with my brother. He had a Vulcan 1500 and last year traded it in on an anniversary edition Electra Glide Classic. My best friend took delivery of his VTX-1800N 3 days before I bought Suzi and we all ride together every chance we get now.

Since getting the LC I have replaced the tires (Dunlop WWW) and put the factory passenger backrest back on. Ordered up the Stage III jet kit and K&N 1598 filter. Also getting a Dyna3000 module and I should be set for a lot of miles.
