well now matter what the clutch will be very hard to pull unless you have a hydralic clutch. But you need to have some slak in your cable witch will make it a little easyer to pull. you sould have about a quarter inch slak in the cable to make things work right.

I tried that. I am wondering if the springs may be too tight. When I installed the new plates and springs I did not have an inch pound torque wrench. Could I have possibly tightened the screws that hold the springs on too much.

This clutch has always been very stiff. I ride my friends bikes and their clutches are about 10 times less stiff than mine. It really wears out my forearms after a long day.

well we kinda have the same bike. i have a 99 rm250 and my clutch is tight but its just right. i could prabobly tell you how far to tighten them. umm... :idea: whats the foot lbs or inch lbs for the springs cause i have a torq wrench and might be able to tell how far it would turn. :mrgreen:
