Bought this bike not running, save the speech of " who buys a bike not running " this morron does! now that that's out of the way I am not giving up just reaching out to the public to see if anyone has came across this problem. The bike has been passed through a hand full of mechanics, back probed wire harness like a mother fucker last owner bought a used ecu from a&j cycle salvage not sure if they sold him a dud. Instrument cluster says ( R1000 ) shouldn't it say gsx-r 750? All fuses or good safety switch kickstand is good. I thought it was the crankshaft position sensor replaced that, had the battery on a maintainer cranked it over still no spark, what i noticed was the ecu was hot and so was the coils! im thinking its a short to ground or maybe they didn't put the engine in timing maybe it has to be 10 degrees before TDC or BDC. Oh also new spark plugs and i dont think its bad coils because how can all of them be bad at once? I also checked if the ignition switch resistor popped by wiring a resistor to one of the wires didn't work. AND NO I'M NOT TAKING IT TO A MECHANIC.

Timing being out wouldn't make the ecu or the coils hot...where as a short would. If you think its a short then check for it. A meter and a wiring diagram are needed. If the cluster is saying its a R1000 ecu then that would be my starting point. Check with a Suzuki dealer what the part # should be for your machine. You may also be wise to check out the igniter system as this is what triggers the ignition to fire a short here would cause the coil/s to heat up at least. Finally check the connector to the ecu a loose pin can cause all sorts of issues.

Good luck
