My stator is putting out 120 volts across all legs. The are no shorts to ground. Have checked grounds, good. suzuki says the stator should put out 65 volts at 5000 rpm. I get 40 to 120. Is it possible for a stator to output that much voltage?
I'm the second owner. It has 9,000 miles

Yes it is possible.
Test it at the RPM they state.
The voltage when disconnected varies with speed.

It goes from 45 volts at idol to 120 at approx 5000 rpm. And climbs continuously as I raise the rpm.
No burnt wires or grounds

I can not give you an precise answer; only an educated guess that it is OK.

Note: Are you sure that your meter is set to AC voltage when taking the reading ??
