I bought the bike and the man said the clutch may need to be bled off. When I started it, pulled the clutch lever in, tapped the gear shifter, it lunged and died because it was now in gear with the clutch lever pulled in. I tried to bleed out the air bubbles but when I opened the air bleed off valve... nothing came out. I had done all the steps like I was supposed to... and the reservoir on the handlebar was full... what do I need to do now?

Rebuild the hydraulic clutch mechanism.
New master and slave cylinder AND rubber lines if they look old or cracked.

Maybe more importantly, this is yet another prime example why one should NEVER buy any used vehicle where the seller says "It only needs.......(anything)". If it really were that simple, he would have done it already.
