Hello everyone!

I'm brand new here and was hoping someone could help me.

I was gifted a 2001 suzuki marauder vz800 that had a dent in the left side of the tank. Outside of this, the bike has been very well maintained.
To me, getting something like this fixed should be simple but I'm learning very quickly that people aren't interested in fixing dents in motorcycle tanks in my area (I'm in Dawsonville, GA).
Is this honestly the case? I'm being given the advice of calling body and paint shops but I'm constantly running into the same answer. "We don't do motorcycles. Replace the tank".

I'm looking for any and all suggestions at this point.

Personally I think I'd give it a good coat of polish and just ride it.

My second suggestion is to call bike shops in the area to see who they use for body work.

Even if you do find a new tank it likely will need to be painted too.
