2001 Suzuki Savage 650

Just got my first bike, used, and it didn't come with an owners manual. In the process of getting one, but does anyone know how much oil is supposed to be in there? Should I be able to see it when I take the cap off?

LS650

Hi ... am a happy Savage owner as well. The MOM and the Clymer manuals are wrong re; Oil Change Capacities for the LS650.

Oil Change without Filter change requires 1.8 litres of oil ... I use Suzuki brand 10W40

Oil Change with a Filter Change requires 2.0 litres of oil not 2.4 litres as stated in either of the above-mentioned manuals.
