[h=2]2003 VL800 Volusia light question[/h]

1) I want to replace all lights with LED's( except headlight ) and including instrument display, any issue or info?

2) What does flashing bar at upper left corner of display mean ? Kickstand???

3) I'm thinking of light bars to illuminate me more at night! Any suggestions?

That will turn out to be a CRAP load of work and trouble and NOT anywhere near worth the effort, in my opinion.....especially the instrument lights.

The turn signals will "hyper-flash" and you will need resistors or a different flasher to fix that.
If you try to go cheap, the light output will be disappointing.

You can generally add about 70 watts of extra lights before you exceed the charging system capacity.
They should be on a switch so you can run them only when needed.

Guess I'll skip the LED idea. Maybe a light bar or two just to illuminate me from the side at night ( I'll install a switch). But, what does that flashing bar mean? I think it may be a low fuel indicator BUT the tank is full!!!!!!!?????
