CRITICAL MISTAKE believing that story.

Put new battery in and everything works fine except it will not I gave starter.
Everything works......meaning what exactly ?

And I don't understand "except it will not I gave starter. "

More information is needed.

Some Suzuki models require BOTH the clutch pulled in AND the transmission in N for it to start.

All lights, horn etc work but when you push the starter button nothing happens.

Do you have the clutch pulled IN (disengaged) and the transmission in Neutral ?
If yes, then you need a voltmeter and wiring diagram to chase the voltage.

Pushing the start button should make voltage appear on the small wire on the starter solenoid.
If the solenoid is working, it should close and pass voltage from one of the large posts to the other, going to the starter.
At that point, voltage should appear at the starter.

The kill switch is in the run position....yes???
That got me once, I accidentally bumped it just a little. It is so light I didn't feel it, and it wasn't all the way to 'off' so I didn't see it. I think I spent an hour trying to figure out what was wrong, and it was just the idiot on the seat.
