my coworker has a 83 gs450ga w an automatic trans (no clutch) ive been thinking of buying it fom him, but i dont know much about automatic transmissions, are they any good ??? Ive owned two other suzuki motorcycles but ive never herd of an automatic before. this bike is in pretty bad shape and would need alot of work to make it rideable, but it has low miles (about 9400 ) and has a shaft drive. Is this worth my time , or would i be better off buying a bike thats in running condition that has a standard type trans????
To give you an idea of what kind of shape this bike is in : its been sitting for about 3 yrs i guess, the seat and side covers are gone, the ign switch is mangled (looks like someone tried to use a screw driver to start it ), both tires are severly dry rotted, the frt tire bolt/ axle is missing, fuel tank is missing rubber mounts and fuel vavle is stuck, the fuel lines are gone also. the physicial apperance of the bike is fair no broken or bent frame parts that i can tell. my coworker wants 100.00 for the bike and claims he has a clear Title. I have the ability and skill to get it goning again but ????
IS THIS REALLY WORTH THE TIME AND EFFERT OR SHOULD I JUST FIND A BIKE IN RUNNING ORDER

Well it all depends on what it needs and how mechanically inclined you are. Is it going to be expensive? Sounds like an uncommon bike so parts might be hard to come by. How much does he want for it? Given the small amount of info you gave , I think you should walk and find something better. Post more info about it so we might be able to help you more.
