[The Intruder]

Hello all,

I recently got a 86 Intruder 750 49300 KM on. I've been doing some tinkering on it and noticed that probably 95% of the time when I put it into to 1st it grinds slightly, but no other issues shifting up or down after that. It also has aftermarket forward controls on it. Are there ant manual adjustments to be made or should I start with an oil change and go from there?

Is it REALLY a grinding noise......or a pronounced CLUNK sound ?

Most all metric bikes clunk when going from N to 1 because of the design.......and it's worse when cold.
It could be a sign that your clutch is dragging a bit but probably not.

Note: Please do not post exactly the same question in more than one place on here.......or any forum for that matter. It just confused the issue when replies come to two different places.
