I posted this question in the main lobby but no answer...
The new guy always gets the cold shoulder...

I was wondering if anyone had any info about the 93 gsxr 600.
I just bought one after riding a cbr 600 for a couple of years
Does anyone know how reliable they are, any problems or things to know.
(Other than its uncomfortable riding position =-)
I know this was the first year Suzuki went to a liquid cooled engine from air/oil cooled because the engine had a tendency to overheat when it was pushed hard, but I don't know much else about it.

What ever info you guys have for me would be great. Even if it's only anecdotal info... I'd like to know what to expect.

Not so. You might find that on a lower traffic board such as this, there are likey few people who own the exact twelve year old bike that you're inquiring about. Have some patience, or find a board that specializes in 1993 GSXR 600s.

The internet community in general is a welcoming place. No need to be concerned about post counts, in most cases anyway. I can't vouch for some of those Harley sites. :p

I know on mine, its not user friendly. I have to take off my exhaust headers to change my oil filter. You have to drop the motor to work on the carbs. Just what i have ran into..but other than that, it seems like these motors run for ever. The previous owners and I have ran the hell outta this bike, and its been thru many "crash rebuilds" with no damage to anything other than cosmetic and minor mechanical, like levers, master cylindar, etc. Ebay is great for old GSXR parts..
