I have a 94 Kat 600. I bought it from a friend of mine not long ago. The rims are purple and I cant stomach that color much longer! How can I change the color and do it cheap? Can I have them blasted and leave the aluminum underneath the color? Paint them?

Thanks all,

It can be cheap, it just depends on where you go and when. For example, I got my rocker guards powdercoated, with two coats for $8 total. heres a picture. Its the black pieces under the door, and they extend under the body to the frame as well. They weighed about 50lbs to give you and idea of the size.

The only reason it was so cheap was because he was waiting to fill up enough work to fire up the oven. Since its kinda expensive to do. So he just ran mine through with someone elses order. I could have had them done next day. But it would have cost $208. So I waited about 1-2wks and they were done. Could beat that price with a stick. I had to ask him twice if he was serious.

So call around and ask. And if they say you have to have a minimum, just ask if they can throw them in behind something. They're relatively small.
