I've looking for a parts bike for my '03 GSX750F to extend its life since there's very few new parts available for it anymore.
While looking I started to wander if the parts from any other Suzuki is compatible. For instance, is the 750cc engine, carbs, and/or transmission from another model plug-and-play interchangeable with the Katana? How about the rear shock, or front forks?
Where would you even find out? In a perfect world there would be a website that lists compatible parts.
Any advise is appreciated.

Most bike manufacturers changed a few items to stop people from doing what you want...they want to sell you a new bike not keep your old one running too long.

I would suggest an entire engine swap should work...electrics too so pretty much any model may work You will need to measure any possible donor engine to see it fits your frame and you may find engine mount points to be different. I would be looking to get hold of a later bike if possible...that or see if wreckers have anything you can use.
