That's amazing! A couple weeks ago I was thinking; why doesn't someone make an airbag equiped jacket? Actually I was thinking more along the lines of the mars rover landing system, but this might be close enough. Thanks for pointing it out!

I'd like to invest in this company. If you have to hook the trigger to yourself and the bike, I can see ump-teen dozen idiots hopping off the bike at least 4-5 times a year and activating the airbag. Then, they have to replace it, which means I clean up.

According to the site it takes 66lbs of force to trigger the airbag. They claim the bike will fall over first.

I contacted the company to find out about US sales, and they said that due to liability issues the product is not for sale in the US.... you gotta love our lawyers....keeping safety products away from consumers

What IF

What if you unplug it accidently????

I believe the inflated back part will turn your body face-down; thus I believe you will be tend to dragged with momentum face down.

This might even cause more serious injury.

I hope they test this invention...

Looks and seems cool though.

Sigh !

This is why it's not available in north america.

It ain't a flotation device, I'd ather bounce on back and let some of the energy be absorbed before being thrown on my face than landing full force on my back.

If you're sliding on your back down the highway nice to know you head will be elevated of the pavement.

Unless yoou can come up with a suit that inflates like the Michelin man there will always be exposed areas but more protection is better than some and some is better than nothing.

thats a pretty ingenius idea. Too bad it doesnt surround you in a inflatable ball :) Then again like someone else had said. There would be idiots doing it for fun and driving up costs to replace

It says it's airbags protects neck (we really need help there), back and chest. If the back bag is prone to flip you onto your face would the chest bag flip you in the opposite direction? maybe combined they roll you laterally instead of sliding. Seems a pretty good idea. I want one.
