Geeze oh peets,
Looks like a war started from one of my posts...about my jacked up windshield. Look, it was indeed the dealers fault. I bought it on monday, and when they took the bike in the back to load it up w/ fluid and prep it, they didn't tighten my brake fluid cap. Every time I slowed down, up-shifted, down-shifted, or made a turn, the fluid would splash on the shield. They admitted to there mistake, that's why there replacing it for free...

How is the paint on the tank? Brake fluid eats paint and other surfaces.

not if it was just a small amount, although to be doing it every time he slowed down, shifted, or turned that would seem to be more than just a bit to me? dunno. Glad its getting fixed though

Maybe it only happened while braking: fluid in the reservoir, which is under pressure because the operator is squeezing the front brake lever, moves forward with momentum exiting through the space created by either crossing the threads on the reservoir cap or leaving it loose.

And that's... the rest of the story.

It's nice to see the dealer was honest enough to admit fault and replace it for you.
