Hello everyone, joining anything like this is also another first for me. However, it seems a perfect compliment to Suzuki and the sport. I am very happy to have found this forum and pleased that everyone is so willing to help with suggestions and invaluable insights on their personal experiences (the good and the bad). I have read it over and over again in here... motorcycling is a continuous learning experience. I have taken the new riders course and completed the other legal requirements and now have my endorsement. I am anxious to begin this new experience but it will be a while before I can swing the full deal on the bike so I will use the time to buy the less expensive but absolute musts of protective gear. Winter will be here soon which will leave very little time for riding before putting it up for a long spell. I have tested a C50 and loved it. I have done a great deal of research and find it to be the best entry level cruiser for me. I am 6'1" at 185 lbs and it felt great. Perhaps by the time I can afford to buy, I hope the M50 will be available to test ride. My first post, a long one. Thank you for the space.

If you are lucky, you should find some dealers willing to make a good deal in the fall, so that they don't have to store the bikes over the winter and take space with the "old" 2004 models while the "new" 2005 models are coming in springtime.

It looks like you've gotten off to a good start with the MSF and getting gear! Congratulations - you appear to be one of the proud few of us who tend to put our brains in gear (occasionaly). You'll see alot of references to "squids" here on the site - those people have never let out the clutch on their brain ... the revs are up high, but they definitely aren't thinking.

Hey, welcome. You seem to have some good brains in your head, and that's refreshing.

One thing, though. Don't limit yourself to a cruiser. There are a great many bikes between the cruisers and the race-replicas. You might find a bit more handling and sportiness to be up your alley.

Don't listen to Rowdy :D

Seriously, the C50 is an excellent bike. I know I love mine.

Oh - and :welcomes:
