instead of having to unscrew all the screws that hold the body panels on!?!

having quick disconnect hardware instead of screws would be ideal!!

i had some quick disconnect side covers once.
one fell off in traffic and was flattened by a semi.

LOL Nut!! i know, i know. i was sitting here at the computer and looking outside at my bike. and the thought of the quick disconnects idea flew thru my mind. just wanted to see if they were made or if there are other ideas along those lines!

that sucks. so your saying the quick disconnect hardware isn't as secure as screws!?!

Yes, there is a quick disconnect system - it's called pavement. Just drop your bike at any street speed, and watch all of the plastic as it is removed from your bike in a matter of seconds :twisted:

i should have put some smilie to denote sarcasm.

you don't want your stuff to disconnect easily. because then it WILL when you don't want it to.

Actually, if done correctly, they won't come off. What it does do is leave yourself open for someone stealing your bodywork. I mean, really, how many times will you be removing your lowers on a day-to-day basis? I used the stock mounting system at the track. I had to remove and reinstall my lowers at least twice each race weekend.

With some good T-handle wrenches, it goes real fast.
