I'm sorry guys...I apologize in advance for the rant. As you read this, keep in mind that I'm a newbie, 900 miles logged, first and dream bike...waited 15 loooong years for my baby...

So I ride into work today, 67 miles...beautiful and built up some more confidence on my tight turns and light twisties. Ah, the day is off to a great start! Anyhoo, I park my bike in the parking garage (secured with gates due to my line of work and the FAA headquarters), backed in and in a position that it can be seen easily so no one will whip in and hit it and dragged my butt on into work. I worked my tail off till around 9:00 pm. I come out of the building, walk over to my bike and start getting geared up. Wait...something isn't right...NOOOOO, son of a *****. My left mirror is swung in, clutch lever bent all to hell, can barely reach it with my hand on the bar, gouges to my left fairings and my (I think it's what it is) engine cover scratched up. I just look at my poor baby dumbfounded. Here's the pisser, she's on the kickstand with no damage to it. It took a minute to process...there's no way it had been hit by a car or accidentally "knocked" over. The kickstand would have had to been damaged, most likely snapped off or bent to hell. I made sure it was seated properly on the stand before I dismounted, flat surface and it was dry cement. The only conclusion that I can come up with that would make sense is that some moron(s) thought it'd be cool to have a seat on MY baby, bring it up off the kickstand returning it to the up position then realizing that the bars were locked, lost their balance and dropped her. They or he must have righted her, dropped the stand and taken off. It wasn't reported or I would have been notified, all vehicles must be registered with security and have a decal. The sleaze(s) just bailed. I couldn't bend the clutch lever back so it was a tricky 67 mile ride home. I had ride the whole way covering the clutch pulled in a bit on the play since my hand would've slip trying to grab for it and because it was so bent, the lever had to be pretty far out to hit the friction zone.

Most likely, I'll never find out who did it so I'm left holding the bag and they will not have to take any responsibility. I'm just so angry...

Thanks for letting me vent...if anyone will understand my anger and feeling of violation, it'd be my fellow biking community.

Let me be the first to say THAT SUCKS!!!!!! Some people have no respect for other peoples property. Was there no security guard around? I bet that someone did try to sit on it and dumped it. And just took off like a punk. Again I'm sorry it happened, but it comes with the territory.

Sorry to hear it, it really p!sses me off when people don't have the responsibility/balls to come forward and own up to their mistakes
I just hope for some form of justice karma where a truck strays slightly while the offender's car is parked and it scrapes down the side of that (then drives off obviously) as compensation for the damage to your machine - sigh!, calm down, calm down

You said that it is a secure parking lot - perhaps it also has security cameras. You can file a vehicle damage report with the security department, and that will force them to look at the tapes. Maybe you can identify the bastard

Here is my story: the very first day I bought it, I left the bike at home in the driveway. When I get home, I notice that it is in a completely different position. I walk up to it and see the kickstand bent, both left blinkers broken, the fairing scratched....I was ready to kill someone in that moment

Turns out my retarded landlord backed his truck into it and knocked it over. But I made him pay for the repairs. It sucks to be around retarded people, it really does

Like everyone else... sorry to hear that. Some will say you bike now has "character" but the day my bike was delivered, it fell over in my driveway and as far as i'm concerned, I have enough character for my bike - I'd rather have her mint... so I know you must feel bad. I just hope its an easy fix. Maybe eBay has some nice fairings to replace the scratched ones?

Sorry to hear that. I wounder how they would feel if some one sat on the hood of there new car with keys hanging out of the back pocket. Some people are real stupid.

My buddie bought a new harley at the same time I bought my SV. The first day he drove it to work some one sat on it when he wasn't around and tipped it over. He got off of work and came around to his new bike laying on the ground. These people should be hung upside down by there toe nails!!!! :x :x :x
