Hello all!

After about a 10-year absence from riding I am about to get back up onto 2 wheels in the spring of '05 ( after the galciers recede) and having a great time visiting showrooms and loving the smell of leather again.

At the risk of getting flamed though  I have come down to the Aero and the C50/Volusia and just wondered why you chose the C50/Volusia over the Aero.

All feedback appreciated!

Thanks!!

:welcomes: re-rentryrider. Always nice to fellow canadians on here.

Don't know much about the Volusia so I'll let other people respond. However, don't worry about being flamed, I don't see why it would happen.

By the way, where in Ontario is Campbellville?

Welcome. Some free advice: even if you've taken it before, take the MSF course again. Not too long ago I got back into riding after not owning a bike for about 7 years. I took the course again and was amazed at what I'd forgotten.

:D Thanks for the nice welcome!

Campbellville is about 30 minutes west of Toronto. Small town but draws a lot of riders on summer Sunday mornings at a greasy spoon called Tracs.

Thanks for the advice and I am planning on taking the MSF for sure. I've been too long out of the saddle and the course is what I need. Wife is insisting that I take it too.

To be perfectly fair, I didn't look that hard at the Aero - closest Honda m/c dealer a bit too far away for convenience. But, all that said, to me it comes down to a few odds and ends. C50 is fuel injected, Aero is not. C50 is SOHC, 4 valves per cyl, Aero is SOHC with 3 valves per cyl. Overall styling and profile of C50 is, in my opinion, better than the Aero (e.g., C50 has hardtail look with hidden 7 way adjustable spring load and link rear suspension - Aero has exposed dual shocks, 5 position adjustable). Lastly - about 50 more cc's and almost half a gallon more fuel capacity
