First of all hello all.... I am a first time suzuki owner (gsxr 600 k2), prev bike was a tt600.

I have had the bike for one week and been out on it twice (bloodey english wheather!!) my problem is that it backfires.

It has a viper race can fitted so I am sure its that. Also I am concerned with the fact that its not road legal (i do have the standard can).

I have seen for sale viper baffle kits. Question do they make it legal and would that resolve my backfiring issue, which is on engine braking only by the way.

A lean mix will cause after-fires on deceleration through the exhast can. Rejet or adjust the carb for a richer mixture.
