Well, I was just wondering who here has a "big sports bike"

I mean something 1k or better.

I just recently upgraded from a Bandit 600 to a GSXR 1000 after a year of riding. (I put 13,000 miles on the bandit in one year) I know I am probably not ready for the full force of the GSXR, but as some of you may know, I have some slight "problems" with it at the moment that prevent me from going all out on it right now (which is probably a good thing for the time being)

but back to the point of this post, i was noticing that most people here have "smaller bikes" 750 or less, dont get me wrong, I was wanting to get a 750 myself, but someone just smacked me in the face with that 1000 and i could not resist. ;)

so who else has "the bug" and a shorter than average life expectancy like myself?

i have a '87 GSXR 1100. thats supposedly is bored out to a 12xx cc. i have a stage 3 jet kit, K&N filters, V&H full exhaust, and my rear sprocket is geared 2 teeth UP from stock. and this is my 1st sports bike. i love the bike. only 1 complaint so far. when i 1st roll the throttle it's kinda boggy. which most likely is dew to the stage 3 jet kit.

and like you i was looking for a 'smaller' cc sports bike. but at the time this bike was the only 1 available for my price range. so i snagged it up. and now that i look back. i now see why my bike was "in my price range". since it needed quite abit of work.

I've got a GSX 1400 (not sold in the USA  ), K&N air filter, TRE and some cosmetics. The exhaust is still stock, so I don't need a PCIII. Plenty of power and torque, and a nice, deep sound.

I hope to get my gixxer on a dino once i fix my slight problems. I have a PCIII on its way which should (hopefully) fix my throttle problem and a wireing harness which I hope will fix my fuel light problem.

then I hsould be good to go ;)
