Welp, now I see why motorcycle riders hate drivers. Long story short, a van pulled out in front of me making a left turn and couldn't get all the way into the driveway because there were too many cars in front of him and half his van was in my lane. I made a last minute adjustment after looking over my left shoulder to make sure there was room and when I looked back and dipped in to the turn the whole right side of my bike clipped his rear completely wrapping the metal bumper around the opposite side of his van, making my bike do a flip and I went over the handlebars and slid for a good 20 feet. I got right up and moved out of the way to the sidewalk where I collapsed. 2 motorcycle officers arrived and took statements, then later met me at the hospital after the ambulance took me to the ER. I thought I had broken my right hand and right foot so they took x-rays but only showed swelling and bruising. After the cop visited me in the ER room he said my story matched the two witnesses (one fo them worked for law enforcement) and that this is clearly the van drivers (on the clock, working for a company) fault and I should seek legal council. After I got looked at and stitched up, they were about to discharge me when I complained of a slight pain in the testicle area. My whole body was numb and I could barely pull my pants down for examination, but, once I did it revealed a grapefruit sized sack... Yeah, great. So they ordered an ultrasound and called in a specialist. The doctor who came in said he needs to get me into surgery because it could be serious and he needs to see what's going on. So within about an hour I was in the OR talking to the anasthesiaologist getting ready to go under. Right when he put the **** in my IV I was out. Woke up to find out I ruptured my right testicle (most likely when hitting the tank) and he said it looked like it just exploded and was surprised I wasn't in more pain. So he had to remove it. I was discharged later that night only because I felt comfortable enough to move, otherwise I could have stayed. So I got a prescription of 20 vicodins and went to sleep when I got home. I am very sore today needless to say. First thing I did when I woke up was called a motorcycle attorney, talked to them for about 1 hour and gave them all details. Within 3 hours a representative was at my house getting me to sign papers and ****. He said he got pulled off other cases to come see me
He said they wouldn't have done that if they didn't think I had a good case. So now I just wait and see what is going to happen.
