I have a 2007 ZZR600 which is carbureted. It was running perfect friday when I drove it home and I put it under a canopy so it wouldn't get rained on. (didnt have access to garage) When I went to start it Monday and take it to the store for gas it sounded a little rough then evened up. Now every time I get it above say 4k RPM it starts bogging, with no power and sounds like crap. Waiting on a new gas cap as the old one doesnt have a seal and has a noticable gap in it. Is it possible it just has water in it and what should i do? It also revs perfectly in neutral and will redline.

How old are the plugs ? and wires ??
Check the intake for an obstruction or clogged air filter.

I would start with some good carb cleaner in the gas.
Berrymans B12 or Gumout. NOT original SeaFoam.

Found the solution and I feel real dumb. Had the tank up and everything and it was just a simple ram air intake line. It had popped off somehow and caused all the power loss and sputtering. Thanks for the help though. Maybe this post will help someone in the same situation.
