Since I am just starting to get into the bike world, I figured it would be good if I learned all the terminalogy and such. Not only what the terminalogy is, but also what all the parts on a bike are called, like a fairing. Anyone got any links or books that I should read to help me out here? Also, were is a good place to buy gear? I don't need any top of the line stuff here, just a helmet, jacket, and gloves.

Terminology varies depending on where you live so books or websites local to yourself will be more help than those from other parts of the world. For example an American will use a wrench to remove his brake rotor and an Englishman will use a spanner to take off his brake disc.

I say chaps! I suspect my colonial pals are extracting the michael.
Not knowing that the Brits call a wrench a spanner won't get you in half as much trouble as not knowing the difference between what we call a fanny and what you do.
