well, on another forum i frequent, there has been a small debate started on bikes vs cars as far as performance goes. so of course i had to make the statement that no street legal car on the road is going to comapre to any one of todays "superbikes"

so then one guy busts out with this video:

its a big dl, but it is a very good video, and i must say i was impressed with that car, unfortunately it did nothing except back up my arguments even more...

that car costs 3 times more than my bike. it weighs twice as much, so i guess it does need twice as much horsepower than my bike to even compare, eh?

then they put that car on the track against a bike. i was impressed, until they said the bike was a 600... a SIX HUNDRED. i STARTED riding on a 600... jeeze...

i wonder why they didnt put the car against a real bike? a "superbike"? why didn't they put the car against a 1000? oh, wait... nevermind... i KNOW why.

That car ate that bike up in the corners. Contact patch is everything.

IMHO, even if that bike had been a 1000, it wouldn't have made up for 4 seconds per lap. The way that car flew by that bike on corner entry, I'd bet on the car even if ROSSI was the rider.

check out the busa board. they have this discussion all the time. 1tony1 has an unbelivable viper that gives some bikes a really good run.

ive never found a car that can come close on my roads. even still exactly like it has been said these people pump thousands into their cars. i currently would rather a luxury car thatn a fast one
