Hey Everyone,
I just got a phonecall a few minutes ago and the news wasn't good. One of my good friends passed away yesterday evening. He was on his r6 going home after work when a guy in a suburban ran a red light doing 55 mph or so and t boned him. I believe he was pronounced dead on the scene. I'm still in so much shock now...it seems like only yesterday all of us were eating at his house cracking jokes and working on cars. Now he's gone, leaving behind his wife.
I met Mike through the local supra club and he was always the guy who could literally fix anything and get any part...always willing to talk and laugh. He bailed me out of engine problems with my supra many times when there was no one else to turn to. Never can forget all the fun at the meets, canyon runs and cruises and just sitting around enjoying great cars and even better friendships. Now it's a memory...can't believe it...I want to just wake up and say what a bad dream, but I guess it's not...
It's just so heartbreaking...to lose someone like that, never thinking it'll happen to you or someone you care about and then it just does. Please guys, I may not know any of you personally but we are all linked through our common enjoyment. I know it's been said over and over, but be careful on the roads...there are so many f-in idiots out there that don't care for anyone but themselves. It's not always going to be your mistake...just watch your back. Sportbike, cruiser, chopper, tourer...anything you may ride, just be safe. God be with you Mike, keep on riding and boosting all the way...
