Hey,

I'm on a school trip in Montreal, missing some prime riding weather back in Illinois. One thing to compound my loss is the fact that everywhere I turn there are motorcycles, about 5 times as many as I have seen patrolling streets in Illinois. Now our tourguide said that Quebec and Montreal, are both known for their harsh and longer winters. I thought that a place with a more agreeable climate would be a place for more bikes. This visit has proved my theory wrong.

Just a musing to vent no-bike-to-ride-when-surrounded-by-them frustration.

Yup. Today was one of our scarce nice days so far this year, and they (we) were thick.

I rode 20 miles of boring to get to the only short stretch of curves in this blasted county.

There are lots of motorcycles. Maybe, because of the long winter we feel we must take advantage of the short summer
That's it for me, I don't put off any chance to ride because the season is over so quickly.

After July 20th, I'll be able to ride alone! Woohoo!

In Ottawa, we can ride from mid-April to early November, at least when you get caught in the off snowfall for those periods and don't mind the sand in the streets in April.
