3 months ago I bought A new 2005 suzuki C50. I am kinda new to motorcycles and am having a problem I can't figure out. I recently drilled holes in the back of my exaust to add more sound, but now there is black carbon building up on my back fender. It comes off easy enough,but is there something wrong that i should be concerned with? Is this causeing damage to my engine? Thanks

That is your exhaust. It is made of carbon. It is collecting on the nearest element of the same / different charge. i.e. your fender.


I just made all that up....

It's either exhaust particles or corrosion from an exhaust pipe part that wasn't designed to be drilled out. It's not a problem.
