I have a 97 gsxr 600 and my brake light stays on. Has anyone ever heard of this and a simple cause. I know a brake light switch can make it not work but wasnt sure about not shutting off. I havent checked anything out im trying to narrow things down before i take it all apart and it could be something very simple.

thanks

Check the switches for the front and rear brakes. One may be corroded (if so, clean the connections) or have water trapped in it bridging the connection. The switch on the front brake lever on my Intruder will sometimes retain water after I wash the bike or in heavy rain, causing this same problem. A little WD-40 displaces the water and all is well again for a few months.
