On my rear carb, the return spring will not bring the carb all the way back to the stop. There is slack in the cable! For it to reach its end point.
Is there a fix like a helper spring or something? Or does the thing have to be taken apart and spring replaced.

Before pulling the carb apart I would be checking the cable for any damage....typically a cable wire may seperate and cause it to jam or a there may be a kink. Then check for adjustment... each cable should have its own adjuster...I assume this is a V twin.

If this bike has CV carbs you will need to check the diaphragm for any pin holes. Typically a hung slide can be traced to a failed diaphragm.

Finally you will need to check the spring free length, that it is isnt getting tangled up and the slide is free of any restrictions.

good luck

Check the needle isnt bent...has to be straight or it may jam slightly in the main jet. Roll it on a piece of glass to check.
