What other models CDI can i use for this bike, could i use a katana 600 cdi? dont know much about electric ignition. please help

GSXR 750 1985-1987
GSXR 1100 1986-1988

Any of these will work plug in. 750 has slightly higher rev limit. They were notorious for problems. Maybe Vance and Hines Powerpack could also be found.

OK I know I am taking a break from here. BUT geez:

1. What problems? I have several stock CDIs, and they work just fine. Never had any issues w/them, EVER. I own five old GSX-R's, one of which was raced for four years total on a stock box, the other which has seen a lot of track time as well.

2. As for the V&H Powerpak, THOSE are the ones that were problem-prone. Their circuit boards were faulty and they couldn't take the weather very well. That being said, I have had one for 11 years w/no issues. BUT, I know several friends who threw in the towel and bought this:
