:| When the check engine message appears on the LED display on my M50, but goes away once I start the bike does that mean I'm Okay? I know in my truck everything lights up then goes away. On the M50 the LED has other purposes once it gets started. Would it remain on the display if there was a problem???
Part deux. I have a temp permit that's good for 2 years and prohibits me from riding at night and with a passenger (not things I plan to do anyway). How have the road tests been for any of you? I envision cones etc., but I just heard of a guy who fell off his bike during the test because the female statie made him nervous (maybe he has issues.....)
Do the cops want to discourage road tests not done by the "motorcycle schools"? I've been riding for quite a few years in aggregate, just having picked it up again after 10 years off one. The written permit test was a joke, more about criminal law than safe operation of a bike. I mean, who knows how many years you can lose your license for if someone in the vehicle has x amount of drugs on their person.
I would be appreciative to hear others' experiences.
Thanks.
