If they can't make a coffee maker that lasts more than a year, I'm sure not gonna trust my butt on one of their bikes. :)
More seriously, I'm cautious about how and where I spend my money. I'd never buy one til the company has been out for a while and proven itself. When a new company comes out with a product, typically the first 2-3 year models have lots of problems. I'd rather wait for them to be around long enough to get the major bugs fixed.

A few Chinese machines here...pretty crap to honest....you may pay less but you certainly get what you pay for. IMO steer clear and buy a used Jap 250. also the Korean bikes, Hyosung, are not much good either...better than the Chinese muck though.

Years ago, the x and I had a couple of Chinese scooters. They were decent quality for the money and after we sold them, the buyers were happy with them. Last I checked all machines were still running and one even sold to another buyer. You can easily research the Chinese manufactures for dependability. It turns out in our case there were a couple reputable manufactures from China. Now, if you buy cheap, you will get cheap. I saw similar looking scooters to the ones we had that were poorly built and cost less. The best advice though, is if you don't want to take the time to research, then buy a used Japanese bike.

I will pass on anything Chinese. I bought bolts to anchor the top of my rear shocks and, in spite of having the highest rating, they broke. The all American bolts I now use are seven years old. Nuf said.
