what do you guys use to clean your bikes, just wondering, personally i use car wash soap, a lamb hair hand washer deal, and then dry it off iwth a nice cotton towel.

I use a bucket of plain water (no soap) and a soft cotton cloth. I wash it by hand all over to get all the loose dust and dirt off and also to see what really needs cleaning. I dry it off with one of those rubber-like towel things that you can get at Walmart. Then I take Protect All and go back over everything. It cleans it and waxes at the same time. It will take off whatever plain water couldn't and make it shiny at the same time.

I have a friend that owns a carwash. But if at home I use this stuff called S100 and after spraying that rinse before it dries, then let it air dry before starting in on all the polishing and waxing.

yeah i was just wondering what every one else uses, i was thinking about buying one of those mr clean wash, because they get the sedaments out of the water.

I use sheeps blood and goats milk...it really lifts off the dirt.

Either Mequiars Soft Gel car wash soap, Suzuki motorcycle wash and as of late S100 cleaner. Then follow up with either wax it with Mequiars NXT wax or Maxima spray wax. I use an Absorber to dry the bike.

I washed my bike with hot soapy water in a bucket until my mom brought a power washer. OMG will not be using that again, set it all up started cleaning my bike with it when i noticed that all the paint work was coming off. So i went back to the good old bucket and sponge.

Oh and that walmart place is bleedy massive compared to the supermarkets over here. I love that place when i went to america lol.

I use soapy water and a garden hose. Then I usually dry with a soft towel or two. After that I have some brand of spray wax. I spray it on a cloth and rub it on, then I buff it out. Works for me.

I have one of those Mr. Clean deals. It's a PITA to keep putting the refills in for the de-ionized water. And it still spots up a bit so you have to dry with a towel or something anyways if you want it to look OK.

Ooooh . . . don't point htat thing at the steering head . . . the chain . . . the oil cooler (don't know why not the oil cooler, but I read that somewhere) . . . basically anything with a sealed bearing.

You get water in there . . . could be trouble. :|

Very good point. Mostly when I wash my bike..it's the fairings..and the undertail that get the most dirt. So I'm careful to watch for the sealed bearings.

Actually, it's called The Absorber. I completely forgot the name until I someone mention it a few posts above. A chamois, I believe is made of some type of soft leather. The absorber is made of some kind of rubber/sponge material.
