Dealer service shop says my tires are delaminating. 500 miles on the tires that came from the manufacturer: what gives?

I suppose there could be a bad batch, occasionally. The tires are all hand-laid, aren't they?

Anyone else experience this? Search of threads turned up nothing.

Never heard of this except in cases where somebody rode a long time on severly underinflated tires.
