Do you have to replate a cylinder after an overbore?

i have a 99 rm250 i am rebuildin..im gonna bore it .030 over and i was wanderin if i need to replate it after i bore it? what exactly is replating? thanks alot!

TRY MAXPOWER ENGINES. TALK TO PAUL. THEY DO GREAT WORK.
COST ME BOUT $175.00 TO NIKASIL PLATE IT. IT TOOK BOUT 2 WEEKS BUT YOU CAN UPGRADE TO EXPRESS CYLINDER AND GET WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS. CHECK EM OUT HERE. www.maxpower-engines.com
