I wrecked my 04 1000 got it home and it started fine. Then I disassembled it and put it back together now everything works but the starter button and the starter is good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

could be a stupid question, but is the side stand down or are you not in neutral?

The bike is in neutral so that wouldn't matter and I also check all safety switches and they all checked out good. The tip over switch was even okay. I figured maybe there is an anti theft feature. I cant get any info on how to put an 04 model into dealer mode without the special switch either.It cranked fine until I took it apart and put it back together.It dont make sense that everything else works.I jumped out all safety switches by unplugging them and using a jumper wire and still nothing.

Probably very obvious, but when you took it apart did you happen to take apart the switch on the clutch that won't let it start unless it's pulled?

No the only thing removed was all plastic and the tank. I just learnt how to put the bike into dealer mode on GSXR.com .Everyone needs to join its a great site.Im going to try the dealer mode tomorrow.
