Does anyone know if there id any differences between this 2 engines ?
According to the manual of my kids lt50 -2003 it has 2.65nm @3000rpm and I found figures on the net that the jr50 has [email protected], could this be right ?
What would be the difference then ? Both have 12mm carb.

Regards Evert

Lt 50

Santa was cruel to old dad here he left Lt 50 under tree....searching and asking I finaly found some info on these quads seems the elves over there at susuki may have been over worked and left a washer laying on top of exhuast pipe before they mated it to the head, now this 2004 wouldnt pull it self around a sharp turn ..susuki mechanic suggested i remove that washer or put shopping cart handles on the back of it before I lost what back bone I had..... he said susuki recomends you to drill it out as your riders skills improve, well seems he caught on well, two second place trophys in tt scrambles now we are looking for other tips on tuning this bad boy, but not much info other than that I tryed opening airbox up a tad...pulled the cover off it....but it would stall out at full throttle. closed it back up it was ok...pulled baffle out not much gain... prolly gonna try to find top end gears next I understand tooth up is top end...tooth down accelleration. Any help here also would be helpful..he wants first place trophy bad

Those quoted figures sound way out for two engines of the same displacement. I think there may have been some confusion between metric/ imperial torque figures (N-m or kg-m vs ft-lbs) or between maximum power and maximum torque. The maximum power is usually developed at much higer RPM (especially in a 2 stroke) than the maximum torque.
